Report- Chickadee #4: Asphalt Outlaw

October 14th, 2007

Nine brave souls faced temperatures slightly above freezing for the start of 2007’s 3rd Chickadee.

We experienced a splendid route complete with beautiful autumn colors. The road closure as a result of the Northern Pike poisoning created a detour at the first climb, where Conrad and Ramsey snuck around Spencer at the last minute to take top KOM points.

Spencer wouldn’t make that mistake twice, and after leading the group across the dirt road stretch, authoritatively took top honors on the next two KOMs. With Ramsey out with a flat, Dan and Gary did their best to hang, but couldn’t quite stay with him.

Everyone had a great time riding with good friends (old and new). It was a strong showing from everyone on a beautiful ride in a beautiful location.
